Magnet And It's Discovery



Ancient Greeks discovered that magnets produce strong forces when they are placed together or near iron filings. However, Ancient Greeks disagreed on whether tiny particles (called lodestones) had the innate power to attract small objects or not. Cicero said that Greek philosophers who denied this fact were ignorant of the power of the Greek language to persuade others. Therefore, an Ancient Greek by the name Erastothenes measured the distance between Alexandria and Carthage using papyros (a wooden bar), but he did not know he was using a magnet to do so as well! This experiment proved that a magnet could carry iron pieces over long distances— an essential discovery for traveling trains in 19th century Europe! Years later, in 1586 Austrian nobleman Georg Bauer became the first person to use a compass while navigating; without it, train travelers would have missed their destinations due south instead of due west! Additionally, Danish physicist Hans Lissenbrock used lodestones for measuring angles around 400 years ago in Europe. Today’s technology uses magnets for data storage; computer hard drives use magnets to spin their components at high speeds and store information on computer chips inside them. 

Based on their studies about natural forces such as gravitation and inertia, scientists believe that humans are made up mostly of liquid protons and neutrons with some solid electrons jutting out here and there. However, when compared to animals such as elephants whose weight is estimated at 64 tons or humans at 63 tons with an additional 50 pounds of bone and tissue supporting them, humans seem like mere specks compared to other animals! However, when seen from another perspective— looking down from above — humans appear as tiny magnets stuck to Earth’s surface like stickers on a cardboard box! Therefore, humans are actually more like giant magnets than they realize!  



The Use And Contribution Of Magnets In Human Civilization 

Early man used magnets to make early tools and jewelry. The first known magnet was found in 6000 BC in ancient Mesopotamia. People used it to lift items or later for navigating boats on the river. Agriculture was too difficult without using magnets for tools. Early man also used magnetism for making tools out of steel, since it was stronger than other types of magnetized objects. Early man also made jewelry out of magnetized metal by heating the metal before shaping it into a piece. Magnets have been an important part of history; they’ve enabled us to make better technology and healthcare systems for mankind. 

Magnetism is a fundamental force that all magnets have; this is what makes them magnetic objects. A magnetic field surrounds a magnet and acts on anything that is near it with a north or south pole. Everything has a magnetic field; this includes the earth, stars and superheated metals such as nuclear fuel rods or radioactive waste materials. Early man learned that the force between two magnets is the same as the force between a magnet and a steel nail— which means that if you apply enough force, you can lift things with a magnet directly over your head (assuming you have strong ones). When you see people lifting heavy objects using magnets, they are demonstrating how to do it safely using their own strong magnets at home . Magnets were instrumental in helping mankind develop when early explorers used them to document their journeys. 



Magnet therapy has advanced medicine by allowing doctors access to patients’ ailments without having direct contact with them . Magnetic implants help surgeons place screws or plates during physical rehabilitation . Doctors also use powerful permanent magnets imported from China during surgery due to its high quality at affordable prices . Large corporations use powerful magnets in computer hard drives, telecommunications equipment, consumer products like Blu-ray discs and television remotes, industrial machines such as train locomotives and drilling machines, medical equipment such as MRI scanners, dental equipment, prostheses and more! Magnets are an essential part of our daily lives; we can’t do anything without them! 

Magnets play an important role in everyday life because they allow us to create technology like credit cards and computer fans. We have learned how to use strongMagnets safely since ancient times when we used actual ones for tools . We’re still learning new ways to use magnets today!
